Our Coffee Creek claims are located in the Klamath Mountain Province in northwestern California, an area that is the second-most gold production provinces in California. The gold districts in this area include that of Shasta, Trinity and Siskiyou Counties. The principal tributaries of the Trinity River are Coffee Creek, Stewart's Fork, East Fork, New River, Indian Creek, and Hayfork Creek.
The major rock units of the Klamath Mountains include the Abrams Schist and Salmon Schist; the Copley Greenstone, Balaklala Rhyolite and Kennett Shale; slate of the Bragdon Formation, and the younger granitic rocks of the Shasta Bally batholith. On the western side of the provinces are extensive beds of sandstone, shale and conglomerate of Jurassic age, and ultramafic rocks that are in part serpentinized.
