BLM Filing Fees

New BLM claim filing fees, enacted in August, 2012

• $189 for the first 20 acres
• $140 for each additional 20 acres (or portion of 20 acres)

For example, if your claim is 60 acres

• $189 for 20 acres
• plus $280 for 40 acres
• Total: $469 for 60 acres

This is not a recurring fee unless you pay annual maintenance fees to the BLM. If you annually file the Small Miner's Waiver, or you subscribe to Advanced Geologic's annual filing service, and perform labor and improvements on your claim, there is no change in the annual fees from last year.
