In the summer of 2021 the Dixie fire tore through Northern California devastating over a million acres of forest. Plumas County was right in the middle of that along with a majority of our claims. While the scenery might not be the beauty it once was this is actually a very ideal time to go prospecting! The fire burned the thick brush that used to make some areas of the creeks unaccessible and unearthed lots of virgin gold bearing ground that with the spring run off's will fill the creeks and drainages. We have already had clients calling and stopping in telling us of all the new areas that they have never been able to get to before. So don't let the fire devastate you too!
